Yeah, no such thing as a "P70D", so yes, it is just a "70D". Being a dual
motor, non-performance model, it won't have the Large Drive Unit or the
issues that come along with it (coolant intrusion being chief among them).
On the note of checking battery state of health, if you can download the
ScanMyTesla app, you'll also be able to see the brick voltages to determine
if there are any significant imbalances (doesn't tell the whole story, but
is useful nonetheless). With the beta version of the app, it's even
possible to view the Ah of the bricks, though that feature tends to be a
bit buggy...

Obviously the charge port issue will need to be taken care of at some
point, but that is certainly doable DIY, or if you're not that mechanically
inclined, someone with a shop (like myself) could do that work for you. On
the hatch, I'm guessing the actuators are having some sort of issue? If you
look at the car in person, you can view the faults yourself by putting the
car into service mode. Simply go to the Software tab, then press and hold
on the screen where it says "Model S" for ~5-10sec, and when you release, a
text box will pop up. Simply type in "service" and hit enter, and that will
bring up service mode. There should be a menu in there for "service
alerts".

My personal daily driver is actually a 2015 70D, which has 456k miles on it
(purchased from the original owner 3 1/2 years ago with 408k on it). It's
certainly had some work done to keep it on the road, but overall it has
held up exceedingly well. For the price, I think the car sounds like a
pretty good deal if you are specifically looking to get an S. Personally if
I were in the market these days, in the $15-20k range I would probably be
looking at a SR Model 3, which has much faster charging and more range than
a 70D, but the older Model S certainly has other advantages over a 3
depending on your use case.
