[Caevlist] Dead Leaf

Seems odd to me that the OBD II interface plug would remain powered with the vehicle turned off. As I remember, the last time I took a car in to have codes read out, the ignition had to be in the 'on' state to get the VCU to communicate. I know I have my truck wired this way, just so that the dongle doesn't kill the 12v battery.

I also had an OBD interface device drain a weak 12V battery.

So, I went out to my Leaf to head into work this morning...and it was unresponsive - the 12V battery was dead. I can't think of anything that would have drained it, so I put a charger on it and will take it into the shop and have them check it out...
