*Martin Corless-Smith* was born in Worcestershire, England, and studied 
painting at the University of Reading, before moving to the USA, where 
he obtained an MFA in painting/printmaking at Southern Methodist 
University, an MFA in poetry from the University of Iowa Writers’ 
Workshop and a Ph.D at the University of Utah. He teaches on the 
Creative Writing programme at Boise State University and edits the Free 
Poetry imprint. He is the author of 13 books, most recently /The 
Melancholy of Anatomy/ (Shearsman), /The Poet's Tomb, Essays/ (Parlor 
Press), and /Odious Horizons: Some Versions of Horace/ (Miami University 
Press).

*Peter Gizzi *is the author of /Fierce Elegy/ (2023), /Now It’s Dark/ 
(2020), and /Archeophonics/, all from Wesleyan UP. In 2020 Carcanet 
published /Sky Burial: New and Selected Poems/ and later this year, 
Penguin UK will bring out an expanded edition of /Fierce Elegy/. Editing 
projects have included /The House That Jack Built: The Collected 
Lectures of Jack Spicer/ (Wesleyan, 1998); and with the late Kevin 
Killian, /My Vocabulary Did This to Me: The Collected Poetry of Jack 
Spicer/ (Wesleyan, 2008). He teaches poetry and poetics at the 
University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
*
Alice Hall *is the author of /Universal Casket/ (Quarterly West 2021) 
and is a PhD candidate at SUNY Buffalo’s Poetics Program. Her work can 
be found in/ P-QUEUE, Poets.org, Quarterly West, Prelude, The Yalobusha 
Review, DIAGRAM/, & other venues. Her newest project is a collection of 
hand-bound artist's books considering the destruction of the streetcar 
system in Buffalo, New York, titled /THE SKY IS FULL OF VIOLENCE/. She 
teaches writing at Portland Community College.
