[Caevlist] Puzzler?

2012 Nissan Leaf. Drove it home, parked it, attached charger cord. Seemed
normal, blinking blue lights on the dash, indicating it was charging.

Let it sit for a couple of weeks. Dead 12v. Charged that. Got in it, "miles
remaining" on battery = 8, but twelve bars showing.

Ten bars showing on "battery condition" = about 70% = about 40-50 miles.

Drove it six miles, "miles remaining" number went from 8 to 21. Consumed
one bar.

What the hell is going on? Seems like the battery is OK, as it only
consumed one bar going six miles. But "mileage remaining" number readout is
wacky. Any ideas?
