Hi John,
I enjoyed talking to you last week at the CAEV meeting. Thanks
for the encouragement. The next Energy Action Team meeting is on
December 5th. Brandon Trelstad is the coordinator. I will forward his
notices. I'm going to attach a project summary that I just put
together that mainly involves the solar charging circuit. As far as
original parts, I expanded Alan Brown's website notes to include each
individual photo. That was in the folder I gave you last Thursday.
I was planning on meeting with Dave Nieman in the near future, the
current owner of Sojourner, and getting a list of parts. When I get
that; I will type it up and send it along. David Nieman has told me
that he has a source for the Hoosier tires and wheels for $200(quite a
bargain).
                                         Thanks, Kirk

After speaking with Kirk at the last CAEV club meeting, the project seems much more doable than Allen's website suggests, although I'm assuming a different focus: solar charging rather than human-powered kinetic sculpture. I have seen similar projects on a smaller scale, perhaps we can base the re-build on some of those.
