<b>Alan Bernheimer</b>’s translation of Louis Aragon’s <i>Paris by
Night</i> was just published by Slacks Books. His latest
collection of poetry is <i>From Nature</i> (Cuneiform Press). He
recently edited “Retroscope,” a selection of literary travel writing
from the past at <i>Nowhere</i> magazine. He lives in Berkeley,
California.<br>
<br>
<b>Annabel Lee</b>’s books include <i>Minnesota Drift</i> (Wry), <i>Oracular
Transcendentalism</i> (Lunar Module/Vehicle Editions), <i>Basket</i>
(Accent Editions), and <i>Continental 34s </i>(Vehicle Editions).
She has also translated poetry by Blaise Cendrars, Robert Walser,
and Louise de Vilmorin. As publisher of Vehicle Editions she is
included in Kyle Schlesinger’s <i>Poetics of the Press</i>
(Cuneiform/Ugly Duckling). She has been employed as travel agent,
gas station attendant, real estate broker, art gallery director,
driver, childcare provider, second-grade teacher, lighting designer,
book designer, printer (letterpress and offset), bookbinder, and
typesetter (hand, monotype, photo, digital), among other vocations,
and has served on the boards of directors for the Center for Book
Arts, New York, and the Poetry Project at St. Mark's Church. <br>
