<div class="default-style">A friend who knew little about EV'sbought this. Nice paint, wheels, tires, and drive system. The batteries were known to be dead on purchase, likely because it previously did not have a BMS. A new pack was installed. The cells were balanced with an external cell balancer, and we took a gentle test drive to confirm it would start and drive as received. The brakes were poor and will need to be checked. EV Drive in Portland installed the new Charger and BMS. Once back at the owner's shop, safe charging limits & and proper pack balance were confirmed. While sitting with the key on for some time (15-20 minutes), the main contactor and the inverter failed. The order of failure and root cause is unknown. It's possible wiring under the dash was bumped and caused the failure (buyer should confirm all wiring and connections). The car is being sold assembled, except the motor controller is out (4 bolts). Components could certainly be moved to another application too. BMS settings are set conservatively and will need to be adjusted for full discharge current using the free downloadable Orion BMS application.</div>
