[Caevlist] A Tale of 12V

I forgot to mention that the rental car was a Volvo XC60, which got
30ish mpg. It cost $115 in gas for the round trip from Seattle to
Corvallis, while it cost $21 + the $6-7 to charge up at home for the
trip home from Seattle in my Model Y. I really expected the cost
difference to be a lot closer for a car that gets 30mpg.

Also, the lane following in the XC60 absolutely sucked: several times it
tried to drift out of the lane, almost causing an accident once.

Although there is some to criticize about the tesla touch screen
display, it *is* nice and clean and easy to read key info, and is much
nicer than the cluttered display in the volvo. Driving an EV is much
smoother too - I've been driving pretty much exclusively EV for the 5
1/2 years I've had the Y, and primarily EV for 15 years, and going back
to gas was...surprising ;-)
