[Caevlist] 165vdc to 110vac inverter

Has anyone come up with new ideas for this? How about the idea of somehow safely hooking-up the vehicle's battery to a UPS with a similar battery bank voltage?

Would it be possible to use a UPS with a battery voltage close to yours? Like this one: [ https://www.mypowerkart.com/exide-hkva-7-5kva-180v-ups.html | https://www.mypowerkart.com/exide-hkva-7-5kva-180v-ups.html ] Although, this UPS doesn't meet your COTS requirement.

Looks like I mixed things up and the second link is for a regular solar inverter, not the battery storage one. The battery one seem to start at about $2000.

Here is an interesting inverter. It offers 3 DC inputs of 10A each, from 100V to 550V so at lower voltages the 30A may end up being a power limit.
It seems to do grid forming (stand alone inverter running without a grid connection) on a split phase 120/240V system which might be quite handy for houses with well pumps and other high loads.
The small one is listed online at about $1100.
I assume that it may need some CAN communication to let it think it has a proper battery attached, but I have not gone into the details yet.

This is the only estimate reply so far. I guess affordability won't be one of its main features!
Please advise exactly what the load is (a power supply, a motor, or what).
2) Please provide the LOAD rating in watts - if it's a motor, we need to know the locked rotor current in amps. If its electronics, we need to know if the load is power factor corrected.
3) Please confirm the input and output voltage if not already provided, and if three phase state wye or delta configurations.
4) Please advise us of any Military-Standards that apply and provide any general application details – is this commercial, industrial, military?
5) Please explain any pertinent environmental or electrical standards that apply and advise us of any unusual issues we have not asked about.
6) What is the quantity required?

We have the Magnum MS4024. It works without being tied to the grid. Wonderfully clean power. It is in our basement with 2 RV 12v batteries and runs our fridge, sumps, computers, radiant floor heat system/gas water heater, and strategic lights when PPL fails (which seems to be often).
Outback makes solar type inverters which might be closer to what your looking for.

FORD is promoting their 2022 F150 "Lightning" as a backup battery source or job site power source ....

And VW is saying all future EVs will have bi-diretional charging:

Similar to you, I have 145VDC with 16kWatts sitting idle in my garage when the grid goes down. I have not found anything COTS to provide 240VAC for running my well water pump from my EV. It sure seems like the solar industry is closest to the DC to AC market... but they like grid-tied any typically have 24 or 48VDC battery systems. Here are a couple of thoughts but not a solution. I would love to hear from the gang on some smart ideas...

[ https://www.meanwell.com/webapp/product/search.aspx?prod=ISI-501 | https://www.meanwell.com/webapp/product/search.aspx?prod=ISI-501 ] This is limited to 48VDC max with 500W output
I have a SunnyBoy inverter on my solar array and it can generate 2k watts when the grid goes down (limited to 120VAC). Maybe there is a hack to their secure power feature...
[ https://www.sma-america.com/newsroom/current-news/news-details/news/3937-sma-introduces-new-and-improved-sunny-boy-us-inverters.html | https://www.sma-america.com/newsroom/current-news/news-details/news/3937-sma-introduces-new-and-improved-sunny-boy-us-inverters.html ] This can provide 2 kwatts at 120VAC in "secure power" mode.

Hello all, I'm looking for ideas on a subject I know nothing about; using my 144v, 22 kwh conversion ev as a battery backup for my house.
I'm not concerned about the transfer switch part, that would be pretty straight forward. What I'm wondering is how to go about finding an (affordable) inverter to take up to 165vdc and put out pure sine wave 110vac. I think 25 or 30 amps output would be plenty.
I've seen industrial inverters online that have the right specs, [ https://novaelectric.com/product/240-vdc-nominal-input-pure-sine-wave-output/ | the kind that don't even bother to list the price ] . I'm waiting on "estimates" from several sources. This particular one could be cheap enough, who knows? Still waiting.
What I'm wondering is if I'm even barking up the right tree. Anyone have any thoughts?
