[Caevlist] Slightly off-topic - 240V 50A generator cable/plug compatibility?

I'm trying to implement a household emergency generator inlet box before
next fire season (unfortunately I won't be able to power it from a
Cybertruck this year :).  I have a question for anyone familiar with this
sort of project:

The inlet I ordered is designed to accept the standard round locking female
connector (CS6364).  I also bought a cable that uses this connector, but it
doesn't "quite" mate with the inlet socket.  Does anyone have a cable or
inlet like this that I could " visit" to determine whether the inlet box or
cable needs to be sent back?  I believe the same connector is also commonly
used with 50A RV shore-power setups...
