[Caevlist] Fw: da Vinci Days Kinetic Parade

Thanks to all that have positively responded to the call for electric vehicles at daVinci days!

We likely have room for about 4 to 5 vehicles on the grass in Greentown.  There is some conflict to moving the vehicles off the grass for the parade, so some vehicles might want to participate in the parade on Saturday *OR* display on Saturday.  I think it would be great to have vehicles in the parade and on the grass.

Michael Dalton also suggested that some electric vehicles could park along Madison near the Robotics area which would allow easier in and out for those wishing to move their vehicles outside the designated times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

As you can see - much is being left open here...

Deb: Personally - I'd like to see the Yellow Carmen Ghia ("Otto") in the parade *and* on the grass - but may not be able to have both.

If you are pretty sure you can bring your vehicle for one or all days - please respond - also let me know your Saturday preference of Lawn or Parade.

If someone has a CAEV flyer, it would be nice to have a stack of those available....

2 daVinci days passes come with the exhibit - these should go to people that will 'man' the area for a significant amount of time.

Please decide amongst yourselves who should get the passes (daVinci days NEEDS the ticket sales - so any purchases are appreciated....)

Regards,

Larry

Larry, is there a conflict being in the parade and the booth, or are both possible? I am available Saturday.

>Michael Dalton suggested that I get in touch. I’m helping coordinate the Kinetic Parade this year. We’d welcome a group of electric cars in the parade!. Also, I have a dance team group in need of transport of their boom box  -- an electric car would be ideal for this, if available for such a task. We had a similar setup for carrying a boom box back in the 2008 parade.
